2 Blog Posts in one Day?

Yes, but it's short, sweet and random.

So, I decided to turn off the Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Billy Bob Thornton flick "Faster" the moment the one couple got married and then went to shoot at bottles in the desert with their wedding clothes on. Gimme a corny break. I mean, corn city.

I don't know what I'm like that with movies. I mean, certain things just turn me off so bad and usually it's such a miniscule thing. I never wanted to see Faster in the first place but it's playing on one of my movie channels right now so I happened to catch quite a bit of it. Sure, it was pretty bad, but nothing made me scramble for my remote until that damn couple.

It's like, bad characterization. So anyway I was barely paying attention to the movie, I was writing and such, but it's not that complex so I could glean most of the details and with minimal attention you know, but as I understand it, The Rock's character's brother got killed by bad guy that *insert villainous gimmick here* and now that Rock character is out for blood!

The police played by a drug addicted Billy Bob and an ever oh-so-coolCarla Gugino are looking for Rock's character who I'll just call Rock from here on out because he killed some people, I think. But anyway there's this couple in the movie and one can tell they're a BAD to the BONE racing car couple that lives on the wild side!

So they have a small wedding, after which I'm presented with a scene of them shooting cans in the desert, her in her wedding dress and him in his tux. No thanks. Just beat me over the head with it why dontcha? Ever heard of subtelty?

And Billy Bob, what the hell? Do you just take every role offered to you? I know the money's good so listen, I won't hate that bad, but where's your darkness gone, man? You used to be striking!

Anyway. Check the labels. This is just a rant. Great grammar does not apply. Nor does sense, or having a point.

Now for some How It's Made.

Me, pensive and sick!

I have the sinus infection from hell. I'm coughing. Tired. My throat hurts. Insert complaint here.

Yet I'm having a good, introspective day. I'm sick yet pensive. Pictured above.

Don't know how rare of a find this is......

...but it's cool as hell!! I was nosing through one of my favorite stores (Allied Record Exchange) in beautiful Toodeeloodoo, Ohiwo and I came across this crazy cool special edition of Blur's Think Tank. If you read this  you know how much I love this album, I even ventured to call it one of my absolute favorite albums of all time. With that said, of course I was tickled when I saw this and I had to buy it even though I already own the normal version of the album.

Take a gander, it's a book with a cloth cover with Banksy's album art stamped in gold on the front and filled with  reproductions of Damon Albarn's handwritten lyrics and doodles, typed lyrics, and all around coolness. The CD is in a sleeve in the back. I love it.

Like I said I don't know when this edition came out or how rare it is or anything like that (probably not all that rare) but I am absolutely stoked to have found it. Just wanted to share!!

An introduction...

So...a blog. Like millions of others in this great world of ours I fancy myself an artist! A writer to be exact--so what better way to hone the writing skills than to...write? I won't be hawking  my books on here--yet--as I heart tomorrow and that is a beautiful way of saying...I procrastinate. There is nothing I like better than tomorrow. It's fresh, clean, it always calls back, and it's always there for you!

I love you, tomorrow. Are we still on for dinner--tomorrow?

Anyway, in the event I ever get the guts to kick tomorrow to the curb, I will undoubtedly transform into a person who contributes quality, introspective and deliciously entertaining work to our fair society.

Admitting that I'm a writer--aspiring as I may be--will undoubtedly solicit harsh scrutiny from anyone who mis-types an address into their browser and arrives on prosepunk.blogspot.com. All sorts of people will laugh and point at my badly spelled words and grammatical errors, and to them I say, mistakes give human beings character--get some for yourself and quit hating on mine!!:)<---Yup that's a smiley constructed of a colon and a right parenthese.

Since I do so love tomorrow, I doubt I will update this blog as often as I should. If you were paying attention before, you saw that I called myself a procrastinator. I am. A severe procrastinator. See you one day soon I hope, and if I return, I promise to discuss the following:

Music
Because we don't hear enough about people not named Justin Bieber, Rihanna, or Beyonce!!

Books
I'm not sure what they are but I've heard they contain words organized into an attention grabbing series that can bring satisfaction, discovery, entertainment, and boredom, all at once!!

Procrastination/Tomorrow
How many plans can I break? How much time passes between blog updates? Will I even remember I have this blog when tomorrow comes to pick me up in a few hours? Will I ever finish and submit this crappy self-important snore fest I call a novel? Will I ever stop pretending my work isn't the bomb? (Because I have heard from reliable sources (outside of myself) that my writing is top notch!)

Anxiety
I have an undiagnosed anxiety disorder that my doctor calls hypochondria...hold on wait...

Social Commentary
You know what they say about opinions and sphincters! (Everybody's got one)

And much, much more
My blog will lack focus. Just like me.

So please return again and again for my prosepunk musings. I'll even drop some suggestive posts that urge you to do what I'm doing. Like playing Sims 2! Which reminds me, I'll also be writing about...

Video games
I love them, and so should you!!!

Peace!!
